UPDATE:

As this drive is training drive, it is setup differently than our regular drives. Attendees will fall into one of the following rolls:

• Learner: Someone who wants to learn the theory / practical of driving in the desert:

• Marshals: Experienced drivers who will be assigned 3-4 learner cars each

• Support Team: Experienced drivers who will assist me with the overall drive, but NOT be assigned any learner drivers

• Passengers: People who love LD and want to come just for the fun.

** Important Note for passengers: We will not be assigning anyone to any car, please contact the Support Team / Marshals / Learners to see if you can be their +1

Happy New Year!

Our first drive of 2016 will be a training drive for off-road newbies. So if you have a 4x4 and want to learn to drive in the desert, this drive is for you. Experienced off-road drivers are needed to Marshal (up to 3 vehicles per marshal).

We will start with a detailed briefing / theory training session, then break for Friday prayers and lunch. Then we are off to a light and enjoyable desert track, the Tawi Trail. This trip will help newbies get the knowledge, skills and confidence to navigate the desert curves. Trip will end at a café for Karak! : )

Getting stuck is part of the desert drive experience; so don’t worry. The LD Marshals will take care of you and your car. #NoTroubleNoFun

We have an exciting array of trips lined up for the season ahead and we would love to see more Gypsies taking their wheels off-road.

So, hurry and gift yourself a free class with our “Nutty Professor Ali”  : )

Important Note:

1- All RSVPs will be routed to Waitlist first and we'll finalize the list of attendees before the event.

2- Only 4x4 cars with good ground clearance are allowed. (If you are not sure, ask us and we will advise you.)

3- 2 guests allowed per car per driving member. Non-driving members would only be allowed if a driving member agrees to tag them along.

4- We'll have not have a barbecue or camping on this trip, we will stop for lunch / prayers and then at a café for karak at the end of the drive.
